There are signs that the mainframe job market is starting to pick up pace - contract and permanent. I believe there are fundamentals at work here - the aging, greying, bits falling off mainframe workforce are starting to retire in large numbers without the youth coming in to fill their shoes This is coupled with a resurgence of the mainframe as central to the new Enterprise IT architectures.
